Hi. I'm an American who got totally hooked to yoga when I visited a Baba Ramdev session when I was visiting India. Pranayam has helped me immensely since I started and have been practicing for the last 4 years, for 6 days a week....

My question is, one of my friends who is Indian and has the Yoga channel which I believe is called Asta told me that Baba Ramdev recently said that instead of doing Kapalbhat for 15-20 mins at a stretch and then Anulom-Vilom for 15-20 mins at a stretch, we could also alternate by doing 5 mins Kapal then 5 mins Anulom-Vilom and then back to 5 mins kapal and 5 mins a-vilom for a total of 30-40 mins Is this accurate? Please let me know. Thanks!

 

Dear Sid, Baba keeps on giving alternatives to help people doPranayama for longer duration, Best practice is still do Bhastrika 5 minutes, 15-20 min Kapal bhati and then Anulom-vilom 15-20 minutes in that sequence. Keep breathing keep smiling and BE happy..
